“The work that is featured on the cover of this catalog, Flora, by Gregory Dirr, depicts a lush and vivid jungle scene that reminds us of the hills and mountains around Hong Kong and right outside our door on Barker Road.”

- Consul General Gregory C. May, Art In Embassies, Hong Kong & Macau 2024

“He is unafraid to pursue new avenues of inquiry and is constantly pushing himself to improve his already well-developed skills and techniques.”

- Jessica Ransom, Director of Artist Services Cultural Council for Palm Beach County 2024

“In my professional capacity Mr. Dirr has demonstrated a strong work ethic, his projects are on time and within budget. His art practice is broad and diverse in medium demonstrating a unique approach to his work. Mr. Dirr understands how to engage with the public and bridge the connection between his personal practice and the desires of the community. This is a delicate balance and requires the ability to listen, and then collaborate with community members a trait he has demonstrated in past projects with ArtLife.”

- Sybille Canthal, Director of Arts, Culture and Community Building, City of West Palm Beach 2024

“During his residency program(Bailey Contemporary Arts), Mr. Dirr was an example to the other residents of what a prolific and professional artist is.”

- Laura Atria, President of the Florida Association of Public Art Professionals 2024

“I was fortunate enough to keep track of Greg’s projects and shows which were always vibrant, thought provoking, and authentic. I have constantly been impressed with his dedication to his craft, his community connections, and his scholarly approach and process as an artist.”

- Yuki Tavera, Managing Director of Collection Evelyn Aimis Fine Art 2022

"As an accomplished professional artist with a lengthy and eclectic C.V. dating to 2004, Dirr often has several irons in the fire—he’ll juggle commissioned pieces for public and private clients with his own passion project: “The Big Book,” a series of intricate and motley acrylic paintings that comprise a larger narrative, and that will eventually be accompanied by a book."

- John Thomason, Boca Magazine 2022

"The richness that Gregory's artworks serve up are morsels of fractured fairy tales, personal, universal, sometimes creepy, but always endearing, and comforting, somehow. There is a sincerity to the work, a belief in the world of fantasy and yet rooted in a world of stability, security, freedom, and the possibility of living happily ever after, in spite of the terror lurking at the corners."

- Batia Lowenberg, Visual Artist 2022

"You(Gregory) dance between the freeform and the assignment." "Mad scientist right? We are the same."

- Sonia Sanchez Arias, Visual Artist 2023
